MOSAIC 2024: Uniting Humanity and Technology through the Arts

The historic Royaumont Abbey hosted Mosaic 2024: A Global Art Gala

MOSAIC 2024: Uniting Humanity and Technology through the Arts

This weekend, the 13th-century Royaumont Abbey transformed into a luxurious crossroads of art, technology, and global philanthropy as nearly 300 high-profile guests gathered for Mosaic: Uniting Humanity Through Technology & The Arts. Hosted by The Vine Global Impact Foundation, this debut gala brought together luminaries from the worlds of film, music, activism, and visual arts—all united by a shared vision of peace and the belief that art is the ultimate bridge across cultures.

This unique gathering aimed to spotlight the role of art and creativity in fostering unity and bridging communities, with proceeds dedicated to peacekeeping initiatives worldwide.

The event underscored The Vine’s commitment to championing philanthropic causes and driving meaningful change through global cooperation and cultural diplomacy. The two-day Mosaic event featured insightful panel discussions on the impact of technology on contemporary art.

The eclectic mix of attendees ranged from human rights activist Marek Halter, an Order of the Legion of Honor member, to Helen Hoehne, Director of the Golden Globes, to international model and goodwill ambassador Sabrina Elba. Rising stars like acclaimed actress Ella Travolta and influencer Santa Dimopulos graced the event, while opera sensation and Royal Academy of Arts member Axelle Saint-Cirel and curator Sulu Daunivalu added both gravitas and glamour. Each guest was drawn to Royaumont not just for the glitz but for the evening’s true purpose: raising funds for international peacekeeping efforts.

British-Portuguese singer-songwriter Nessi Gomes at Mosaic 2024

The night’s artistic lineup was an immersive experience all its own. British-Portuguese singer-songwriter Nessi Gomes enchanted the crowd with her soul-searching ballads, blending Fado and alternative sounds in a way that transcends language. Known for her therapeutic "musical medicine" concerts, Nessi’s work taps into the emotional realm, inviting audiences to reflect, release, and heal—a fitting experience for an evening dedicated to unity.

Opera singer Axelle Saint-Cirel at Mosaic 2024

Meanwhile, Axelle Saint-Cirel’s powerhouse performance had the audience spellbound. Born in Guadeloupe and acclaimed as a mezzo-soprano star, Axelle has performed from New York to Tokyo and was recently featured at the Paris Olympics, where she sang the national anthem in a gown that mirrored the French tricolor. Her voice carries the depth of classic opera with a modern soulfulness, an approach that has won her accolades like the Voix des Outre-mer award.

Contemporary artist Bou Bou live painting at Mosaic 2024

Contemporary artist Bou Bou added a visceral energy to the evening with his interactive live painting performance. Known for his bold style and unusual materials—Bou Bou incorporates everything from flowers to household items in his artwork—he wowed the audience by creating a piece in real time with fresh roses pressed into the paint. Bou Bou's work is celebrated for capturing the essence of spontaneous creativity, making him a sensation across social media and a perfect fit for Mosaic’s theme of art as a unifying force.

But the real excitement took place during the high-energy auction. Bidders vied for standout items, from original Marcel Van Luit pieces to a Louis XV commode dripping in over 50,000 Swarovski crystals. A stay at One&Only One Zabeel in Dubai? Sold. An exclusive lunch with the King of Jaisalmer? Snapped up. A glitzy clock crafted by Venzon in collaboration with artist Dale Mathis? A hot-ticket item. And in the most poetic twist of the evening, every cent went straight toward peace efforts, proving art truly can change the world.

“All auction proceeds will directly support UN peacekeeping programs, underscoring the profound impact that art and technology can have on global initiatives for peace,” said Adria L. Dunn, founder of The Vine.

“This event represents our mission to bridge cultures and foster diplomacy through shared goals in peace and creativity.
